Company Events

Every year Elgin Motor Freight shows its appreciation for the hard work and dedication of its drivers, by hosting a range of company events.

Each month we hold a Driver Appreciation Day, which provides the opportunity for us to meet and talk to our drivers in an informal setting. Management and administrative staff spend part of their day barbecuing, serving soup and sandwiches, or cooking breakfast for our drivers. These events typically cover a span of four to six hours so that we can maximize each driver’s chance to attend.

Our Annual Golf Tournament, held in August of each year, is unique in that drivers, staff and key customers all participate. It provides a great environment for our customers to get to know our drivers in, and to appreciate just how fortunate we are with the dedicated staff we have.

At our Annual Christmas Party, Elgin gives thanks to its drivers and their families for helping it become a leader in the transportation industry. Safe driving awards are presented at this time, and we are extremely proud of the outstanding achievements of our driving staff.
